Treyarnon Bay is on the doorstep of Puffins, Tamarisk, Little Sandyfield, Treyarnon Suite & Watergate Suite.
A lovely clean beach, north-west facing sandy cove surrounded by low cliffs and backed by sand dunes. This popular family beach offers an expanse of fine sand at low water with plenty of nooks to discover. The rockpools are teeming with life such as shrimps, crabs and small fish, so ideal for children to explore. It is a short walk around the point from Constantine Bay to the north with good marine wildlife. To the south is Trethias Island, which also provides some shelter. There is even a natural ‘swimming pool’ within the rocks to the north of the beach.
This surf spot is popular from mid to high tide, with rights and lefts into the middle of the beach. Suitable for: Intermediates
Dangers: Rocks, rips at low tide and along rocks
Tides: Surfable at mid to high tide.
Wind: E/SE offshore.
Easy level access from the car park.
There are toilets at the top of the beach along with a small shop that is open during the summer months. Here you can also hire beach kit. For more facilities head into the village at St Merryn or just around the coast to Constantine
There is RNLI lifeguard cover daily from 5 May to 30 September
Treyarnon Bay Beach Stores is a very useful little shop, which stocks all the usual – bucket and spade, newspapers, milk etc. It also sells Williams clotted cream, which is local and tastes like the real thing, and bread and cakes from the excellent local bakers Malcolm Barnecutt.
Open from around Easter to about October, depending on the weather, 8 till 7 but usually until 8 or later if there are a lot of customers about!

Cheyne who owns Constantine Bay Surf School operates from the shop and has male and female instructors who are all Surfing GB Accredited Surf Coaches and fully Qualified Beach Lifeguards with a lifetime of local and international surfing experience. Wetsuits, surfboards and bodyboards can all be hired from the store at reasonable rates.
Harlyn Surf School is only an 8 minute drive away from Treyarnon Bay. They also offer coasteering, stand up paddle boarding & kayaking www.harlynsurfschool.co.uk
Just 50 meters from the sea is the Treyarnon Bay Youth Hostel, with its own newly revamped bar, a great café/restaurant and even its own ice cream shack, so close at hand for refreshments throughout the day!
