What we like about this property...
What a fantastic house! Seven bedrooms (six with amazing views) 2 sitting rooms, a games room and a big kitchen/diner. Alt-Na-Craig is all about the sea, the coast and the beach, all of which are right there in front of you! We love that there is so much to do in the area, from walking, golf and striding out across the Giants Causeway. There are so many places to eat, whether you want a quick, hearty snack or a full on dinner, most within a short drive.
Fantastic house! Seven bedrooms (six with amazing views) 2 sitting rooms, a games room and a big kitchen/diner. We had 6 adults, 6 children and a dog and lots of people coming and going during the day. Lots of room for everyone and the house was warm, clean and welcoming. Definitely recommend this house and hope to be back😊

What we love about the area...
Portballintrae was originally a fishing village of whitewashed cottages nestled around the horse shoe-shaped bay. Many of its earlier buildings have been restored and maintained. The original houses were built in a line along the seashore and Alt- na -Craig is one of them.
The Giant’s Causeway Tramway runs through the sand dunes above the largest beach in Portballintrae, commonly known as Runkerry Strand, and Bushfoot Golf Club. This railway, popular with tourists runs between The Giants Causeway and Bushmills.
The Giant’s Causeway is a UNESCO World Heritage Site (United Nations Environmental, Scientific and Cultural Organization). This designation was given in 1986 to what has been widely referred to as the eight wonder of the natural world. This is the only World Heritage Site site designated in Northern Ireland and one of only three in Ireland. The site includes the Giant’s Causeway and the coastline along to Benbane Head, a unique landscape and geological exposure of hexagonal basalt columns.
More information on the Giant’s Causeway.
There is historic interest around this coastline and off the coast of Portballintrae a team of divers brought up the greatest find of the Spanish Armada treasure ever recovered from a wrecked ship. There is also the ruins of Duncluce Castle sitting on the edge of the cliffs between Portballintrae and Portrush.
With the beautiful natural surroundings on the doorstep you can enjoy seal-spotting, bird watching, coarse and sea fishing, horse riding, canoeing and surfing as well as numerous coastal walks.
